Fall Engagement Photos // Wisconsin Rapids, WI // Julie + Alex

I have been waiting for Julie and Alex to get engaged since I snagged pictures of them on the dance floor at their friends wedding. They are both just the sweetest. They both have that warm, welcoming spirit. And they love to have fun together. And I just knew that someday I’d be photographing their wedding.
Julie and Alex were introduced by their friends. Their story starts at a tavern. They both kind of got dragged out. Once they started talking they realized both were trying to make it an early night because the next day was opening day of duck hunting. And the rest is basically history. I think once Alex realized that Julie was not only gorgeous, funny, and smart but that she also shared his love of hunting, he knew he had to lock it down.

I knew this engagement session was going to be good, but I was not prepared. Alex and Julie are so freaking photogenic and were just having a blast with each other the entire time.

Seriously having the most fun! Thank goodness they weren’t scared of the rain or trespassing because we made some good shit.

If you’re a future or current client of mine, just know that we will be walking through all the tall grass, marshy areas, and wet fields to find the perfect little backdrops for pictures. So wear some shoes that you don’t care if they get dirty. Because if you want engagement photos like these you have to be willing to rough it.

It was raining at the beginning of this engagement shoot and then was overcast the rest of it. But just as we were about to leave the sun decided to make an appearance in a very dramatic way. We could have rescheduled this shoot but we all decided to just go with it! I’m so glad we didn’t wait for “perfect” weather because this next set of photos is absolutely epic and you just can’t recreate shit like this.
