Grand Rapids Lion Club Wedding // Wisconsin Rapids, WI // Alyssa + Ryan
I knew from the first time Alyssa and I sat down and talked exactly how her and Ryan's wedding day would go. No drama, lots of laughing, zero stress, a few beers, and lots of dancing. Ally is so laid back and she makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable and important. She also has the most contagious smile and laugh. So it's a really good thing that Ryan keeps her laughing even when he breaks his hand setting up for their wedding.
I was at the walk in clinic 24 hours before this with a doctor telling me I had strep throat. As soon as I arrived on Saturday I completely forgot about all of that though (with a little help from red bull and ibuprofen). Everyone was already having fun, drinking beer, laughing. The excitement, joy, and love was palpable. And everyone made Matt and I feel like part of the group. I mean, I'm pretty sure Ally's dad offered us a beer as soon as we got in the door. And the rest of the day was seamless. There was a rhythm that everyone was following and there was never any rushing or stress. It honestly felt like a really good, family cook out. Also there were Dilly Bars.... sooooo....
Every bride should have a pair of chucks... but that's just my opinion.
Father daughter first looks get me every time. This one though... this one tops all the rest. If you’re not doing a first look with your spouse, please at least do one with your parents!
Who knew the Grand Rapids Lions Club was the perfect little spot for a wedding?? Look at you, Wisconsin Rapids! Pulling out all the stops!
Who needs champagne when you have shots? I mean, this is Wisconsin…
But for real guys... did anyone even know you could transform the Lion's Club into such a gorgeous bad ass venue?! Hello Central Wisconsin's best kept secret!!!
Not only did Ally and Ryan trust me enough to photographer their wedding they also asked if we could do video. Not sure if you guys know this yet but I'm loving video lately. There's something different about capturing something through motion. So enjoy this lovely little morsel. Huge shoutout to my second shooter and video editor extraordinaire Matt Greene! I could not have done this without his help and talent!
