Lifestyle Family Session // Minneapolis, MN // The Kipfer Family
The last time I visited the Kipfer family, Mae was only a few days old. Now she's been promoted to big sister so I had to make a trip back to Minneapolis to hang out with these guys again. Now you probably know I don't do family sessions very often anymore. But I'm not kidding when I say I could photograph this little tribe every week and not get tired of it. In fact, I think Megan and Casey are so cool I'm seriously considered moving in next door between them and their equally rad friends/my other favorite fam bam to document (hi Bobbie and Cody!). Too much?? The point is this family is so laid back that it doesn't feel like work when I'm around them. Mae and Nelle have been two of the chillest, easy going babies I've met. When I was leaving Casey said he'd let me know when they have another kid. I know he was joking but secretly I have my fingers crossed. I mean photographing a new Kipfer baby every year doesn't sound bad at all to me... Sorry not sorry!
Why are toddler bellies like the greatest thing in the entire world???
I kept asking Mae if she wanted to hold Nelle. If she loved her sister and wanted to kiss her. Every time she responded "Yeah." My sister has always been my best friend/my protector/my favorite person. So when I see how sweet and gentle and caring and proud Mae is of Nelle it really hits me in the feels. Sisters are the greatest. Hands down.
Remember how I said sisters are the best ever? Well sometimes you think their bow is cuter than yours and it really sucks.
Anytime I'm having a rough day, I just look at Mae's facial expressions in these photos are everything is immediately ok.
